We are currently searching for a Senior Pastor.

Steve was born in Phoenix, where his parents had been ministering as Evangelists. He would call Duluth, Minnesota his home until finally making San Diego, America’s Finest City, home at the age of seven. He came to the Lord in 1968 during a home Bible Study that was held by his parents. He is married to Denise and has four wonderful children – Jordan, Lydia, Caleb and Rachael. His favorite hobby is bicycling and relies on Jamba Juice instead of the Starbucks to fuel his passion.
An ordained minister since 1983 and having served in various churches throughout his life, Steve is most excited about Neighborhood Church, in that the best days are yet to come. He sees us learning to love one another and a growing desire to minister to those in need among us and in our community.

Jason is a homegrown boy, having been born and raised in Escondido. He has been saved since the age of seven and came to truly understand his relationship with the Lord at age 13. He is a renaissance man with hobbies such as Music (a given), which also includes songwriting, in addition to perfecting the art of sleeping and eating (including the liquid nourishment of the occasional Caramel Macchiato). Jason is pursuing his BA in Music at Cal State Fullerton so we are fortunate to have him. He has ministered in our church for the last several years by playing drums, guitar, bass, keyboard, and leading worship.
Jason is most excited about God’s faithfulness to continue to move in a powerful way during this transitional period at Neighborhood, as he witnesses the inspiration of serving people during our times of worship who are themselves excited about what God is doing in their lives and in the church.

Southern California has blessed us with Ashley, who grew in Orange County and then Escondido. She was raised in church, seeking salvation at age six and rededicating her life to Him at age 21. Eleanor, her beautiful daughter, is her pride and joy. Even with her hands full with her duties at the church and her role as a Mom, Ashley manages to squeeze in a few hobbies – namely Photoshop, photography, computers, and collecting vinyl records. To show her carefree spirit and defying convention of labels or stereotypes, no admission of a favorite Starbuck’s drink was made. Although, she proudly admits to having served in our Preschool Classroom, for which we are blessed.
Ashley is most excited about Neighborhood’s chance to save the lost, bringing them to the saving grace of Jesus. She hopes for the brightest days in the future of the church as we join together in unity and minister to the needs of those who are not only seeking Him, but also those who are searching for a place to call home.

Mona grew up in Fresno, where she was also born. She came to know the Lord during a Children’s Church service at the tender age of seven. She is married to David and mother to Drew. Her hobbies include hiking, walking, as well as playing with the bambino and her darling nephews. To keep up with all this activity, Mona enjoys the sweet taste of a Mocha with whipped cream. In her former life prior to joining us at Neighborhood Church, she was a Certified Pharmacy Technician and she excels at... well Excel and the rest of the Office Suite. Throughout her time in church she has served as a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, and Women’s Ministry Committee Member. Not stopping there, she has also helped faithfully with the Nursery & Preschool Classes and providing donuts to the masses.
Having served in so many ways, Mona has developed a deep love her church family. She looks forward to serving alongside them in thriving ministries that evangelize unbelievers, mentor new believers and develop established believers into the next generation of leaders who will take our church into the community and touch the world for Jesus.
