This Is LORI

Lori is the Director of Early Childhood. She gets to love on and care for all the little little ones (newborn - 5 years old) at Cypress Church through coordinating our amazing volunteers and picking out what Biblical truths to share.

A few of my favorite things...

My Family, Coffee, The Beach, Music, Laughing, Helping, Friends, Reading, Writing & Creatively Creating.

God got ahold of Lori as a teenager. Growing up in church, she was a regular at Sunday school and then youth group, however it wasn't until a youth leader challenged Lori to truly live her life sold out to Christ that she dove in headfirst. From that day on she has consistently fallen more in love with Christ and has pursued Him every day of her life.

On her list of loves is her family, coffee, the beach, laughing, helping, friends, music, reading, writing, alone time, and creatively creating. All of these things she uses for the Lord, whether reflecting on God's power and majesty at the beach, or coffee with friends to encourage and share what the Lord is doing in their lives. She uses her helping and creative gifts to coordinate the Early Childhood Department here at Cypress Church. And you simply cannot work with children without laughter! They are a joyful delight as they say and do the most amazing things while they are discovering the wonders of our Lord Jesus.

Lori started attending Cypress Church in 1999 and has served in Children's Ministry, on the Worship Team and as a Soloist, as the Leader of God Chicks (a young women's ministry and accountability group), and as Team Mom to High School and Junior High Students and Leaders on camps and special events.

In February 2017 Lori joined the Cypress Church Family Ministry Team as the Director of Early Childhood. Her passion is to help all the precious little ones that come into our church discover the wonder and amazement of the God of the Universe, and to live lives sold out to Him.

Lori lives in Buena Park with her family, Rich (husband), Garrick, Gabriel, and Grace (her kiddos) where Coffee, Laughing, Helping, Friends, Creating are strived for and often spill loudly out into the neighborhood.
