All is calm, all is Bright

Join us for our 2025 advent sermon series

November 30 - December 28

We live in a world longing for a deeper sense of calm & peace within and around us. We yearn for a wider sense of clarity, direction, and an illumination of help, hope, & purpose. The answer to these desires isn’t found in wealth, politics, or any human efforts. It’s found only in the deeper reality of what Christmas is all about.

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus, who is called "The Prince of Peace"(Isaiah 9:6-7) and "The Light of the World" (John 8:12). The old Christmas song Silent Night describes the biblical sense of peace & brightness that Jesus brings in the line “all is calm, all is bright.” The calm is the peace Jesus provides in dealing with humanity’s sin problem (Romans 5:1) and the brightness is the result of embracing the leadership & lordship of Jesus, walking in His light (Ephesians 5:8).

This Christmas, we will be journeying through the familiar stories surrounding Jesus’ birth and first moments of life as we are challenged to go deeper and wider in faith, seeking a deeper sense of peace and a wider embrace of "the Light of the World."

NEEd Prayer?

Times are hard and sometimes it can feel hopeless. In that moment, prayer can shift our focus to the God who listens and loves you very much. No matter what you are going through, we would love to pray for you.
